Junior Designer

We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented designer to support our design team in developing thoughtful, functional, and visually compelling interior spaces. The ideal candidate will have a strong eye for design, good technical skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks while working collaboratively with senior designers, consultants, vendors, and clients. Good Technical Skills for creating construction drawings is a must.

Skills:

• Diploma or degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.
• 2–4 years of relevant interior design experience; internships or co-op experience may be considered.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, Adobe Creative Suite, or other relevant design software.
• Strong understanding of space planning, materials, finishes, furniture, lighting, and design principles.
• Basic knowledge of construction documents, detailing, and building materials.
• Strong visual presentation and communication skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and work effectively in a collaborative, deadline-driven environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Knowledge of applicable building codes, accessibility requirements, and industry standards is an asset.
• A portfolio demonstrating design and technical abilities is required.

Job Duties:

• Produce Contract Documents/lnterior Design Packages through Revit/AutoCad & Adobe Suite
• Produce concept & design presentations using Adobe InDesign & Photoshop
• Produce 3D render views using softwares such as Sketchup, Lumion, Enscape, V-Ray, 3D Max etc.
• Maintain material library for the Company by coordinating with suppliers/trades
• Prepare sample boards for client presentations
• Gain working knowledge of building codes to produce construction drawings with some support
• Perform Contract Administration Services with some support during construction phase
• Visit project sites & perform site measurements with some support
• Provide above services for wide range of projects ranging from hotels, restaurants, retail stores, commercial and residential projects
• Work in a fast-paced team environment with ability to come to conclusions quickly
• Assist with Company marketing & branding through website, social media, portfolios, etc.
• Take direction from the Company Director/Principal/Senior Designer for providing all of the above services to the Company
