Hospitality Interior Design

We design hospitality spaces that are welcoming, functional, and memorable. We create interiors for restaurants, cafés, bars, hotels, motels, and guest-focused spaces. Our design approach focuses on brand experience, smart planning, comfort, and visual impact. Every space is designed to support both the guest experience and business operations.

Design Experience

Hospitality design is all about how people feel when they enter a space. At Hive Studio, we create interiors that make guests feel comfortable, connected, and engaged. We study the brand, customer journey, seating flow, lighting, materials, and overall mood. Every detail is planned to support the story and purpose of the space. For restaurants, we focus on atmosphere, comfort, and smooth service flow. For hotels and motels, we focus on warmth, function, and a memorable guest stay. Our goal is to create spaces that are not only beautiful but also practical. We design with attention to how guests move, sit, dine, relax, and interact. The final result is a hospitality space that feels thoughtful, inviting, and brand-focused.

Purposeful Design

Every hospitality space needs to look good, but it also needs to work well every day. At Hive Studio, we balance creative design with practical planning. We consider the entrance, circulation, seating layout, service areas, lighting, and comfort. For restaurants, we create spaces that support dining, service, and customer engagement. For hotels and motels, we design interiors that feel welcoming, efficient, and easy to use. We also focus on materials, finishes, and details that match the brand identity. Each element is selected to create a strong and consistent visual experience. Our team understands how design can shape the way guests remember a place. We create hospitality interiors that are functional, memorable, and built with purpose.

Process

that simplify

Phase 1

Onboarding

We begin by collecting all required information from the client, including the design direction, business goals, and project requirements. Our team reviews the existing brand identity, target audience, and overall vision for the hospitality space. This phase may include site visits, client meetings, team introductions, and understanding the project scope. It helps us build a clear foundation before moving into the design concept stage.

Phase 2

Schematic Design

In this phase, we create the initial concept plan and design direction for the project presentation. Hive Studio develops the overall look and feel, furniture layout, wall and floor finish concepts, and lighting direction. We also explore millwork ideas, furniture concepts, brand colour direction, and key visual cues for the space. This phase helps the client visualize the mood, style, and experience of the hospitality interior.

Phase 3

Design Development

After the concept is reviewed, we refine the floor plan, design details, materials, finishes, and overall interior direction. We prepare updated layouts, finish selections, 3D views, and key design elements for client approval. If required, this phase may also include preliminary coordination with engineering consultants. The goal is to finalize the design direction before moving into detailed technical drawings.

Phase 4

Interior Contract Drawings

This phase includes the technical drawings required to execute the project accurately on site. The drawing package may include floor plans, elevations, sections, details, millwork drawings, and material specifications. We also include FF&E details, finish schedules, and design notes needed for contractors and vendors. These drawings help ensure the approved design is clearly communicated for construction and execution.

Phase 5

Construction Phase

During the construction phase, Hive Studio provides design support to help maintain the approved design intent. Our team assists with contractor coordination, millwork drawing reviews, material submittals, and clarification requests. We may also conduct site visits, review progress, and prepare deficiency notes where required. This phase helps keep the project aligned with the final design vision through completion.
